The Accounting Analyst plays a key role in supporting Accounting and Finance operations, including cash application, financial reporting, month-end close activities, treasury processes, and accounts receivable and payable functions.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Post and reconcile daily cash receipts across multiple business units
- Prepare and distribute daily consolidated reports to management
- Assist with accounting inquiries, reporting requests, journal entry support, and month-end close activities
- Support accounts receivable and accounts payable processes, including the entry and management of payables in internal systems
- Create and post recurring and non-recurring journal entries
- Prepare monthly account reconciliations and rollforwards
- Maintain reporting systems and databases within QuickBooks, SAP, and other internal systems, and investigate variances between ERP data and reporting outputs
- Compile audit requests and prepare supporting documentation for internal and external audits
- Assist in the preparation of executive summaries, management reports, ad hoc analyses, and special projects.Identify opportunities to improve close processes, reporting accuracy, documentation, controls, and overall efficiency across accounting activities

Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required
- 5 plus years of experience
- Strong understanding of general ledger accounting, month-end close, journal entries, account reconciliations, accruals, intercompany accounting, and financial reporting
- Experience with ERP systems and reporting tools preferred, such as SAP and QuickBooks
- Intermediate Microsoft Excel skills, including the ability to work with large data sets, reconciliations, rollforwards, pivot tables, formulas, and reporting workbooks
- Knowledge of U.S. GAAP and internal control concepts
- Strong attention to detail, analytical ability, organizational skills, and ability to meet strict daily, monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting deadlines
- Ability to communicate effectively with corporate finance, divisional controllers, subsidiaries, operations, accounts payable, and management
- Ability to work independently while also contributing to a collaborative team environment
