TSA, part of the Ryerson Family of Companies, is pleased to announce an exciting opportunity for a 2nd shift Machine Operator to join our team. You will be responsible for pulling and staging feedstock for production orders, setting up machines, and operating an overhead crane.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Ability to calibrate measuring equipment
- Feedstock material inspection to ensure quality specifications
- Machine set-up
- Daily machine operation for part processing
- Part inspection to ensure quality specifications
- Packaging of material to customer requirements
- Work order confirmation on the computer
- Stage material for shipping
- Operating an overhead crane to move material as needed
- Operating a forklift or sideloader to move material as needed
- Carrying/moving supplies as needed
- All other duties as assigned or duties, responsibilities, and activities may change at any time with or without notice

Requirements
- Successfully pass a skills-based assessment evaluating reading, math, inspection & measurement, attention to detail, and problem-solving skills
- Minimum 2 years of similar job experience preferred
- Regular attendance
- Basic math skills
- Basic computer skills and/or comfort using a computer
- Physical ability to pass the physical requirements exam for vision, hearing, and mobility
- Successful candidates will be enrolled in a registered apprenticeship program as part of their onboarding
