Join our dynamic team at Ryerson as a Contract & Compliance Specialist, where you'll play a pivotal role in supporting company-wide contract compliance and managing project workflows. You'll review and redline legal documents, including supplier agreements, NDAs, and customer questionnaires. In this role, you’ll work closely with a Deputy General Counsel, collaborate directly with contracts and compliance attorneys, and engage with sales, procurement, and other Subject Matter Experts across the organization.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Timely and efficiently reviewing and redlining agreements to avoid any delays in the process
  • Creating, updating, and managing templates and forms
  • Tracking team metrics
  • Creating and updating databases, spreadsheets, and charts
  • Supporting with contract compliance
  • Maintaining clear lines of communication and follow-ups as needed
  • Preparing and updating processes and procedures documentation
  • Look for opportunities to implement process improvements
  • Provide excellent customer service to our attorneys and other colleagues

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in law or a relevant field
  • 3 or more years of experience 
  • In-depth knowledge of contract documents, legal specifications, and terminology
  • Proficient in MS Office 
  • Knowledge of negotiation best practices
  • Possesses superior organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects 
  • Outstanding negotiation and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills

 

Salary: $79,000 - $100,000 annually. A starting salary higher than $79,000 annually is based on a level of experience and education that significantly exceeds the minimum requirements and is commensurate with the compensation scale.
