The Global Accounts Analyst is responsible for the preparation of reporting packages that are distributed to management, the Global Accounts team, and throughout the entire organization. Reports include graphical and numerical presentations accompanied by analysis that provides insight into the Global Accounts financial results, commercial performance, and drivers. The Global Accounts Analyst will be a key contributor to the commercial quotation process and proposal strategy. In addition, there will be ad hoc projects that could include analyzing new business opportunities, market conditions, and various deep dive analyses into specific financial, commercial, and customer items to assist management in the decision-making process. The Global Accounts team focuses on servicing large multi-location OEM's and Fortune 500 companies, in the North American Market through contractual agreements.

Roles and Responsibilities

Primary Responsibilities: 

  • Provide business and financial analysis, including the preparation of daily, weekly, monthly, and quarterly reporting packages that are distributed to different stakeholders.
  • Gathering, analyzing, and presenting data and information. A focus of the reporting compares actual results versus plan, forecast and prior periods and includes an analysis of the key components of the business. Identify, analyze, and report on key performance drivers and metrics.
  • Ad hoc support and analysis for the Global Accounts team.
  • Integral contributor to the customer quotation process, including the preparation of complex cost builds (BidSmart system) and profitability analysis before and after business implementation. Provide working capital analysis; AIR and inventory data preparation and analysis.
  • Work through a variety of systems to collect relevant data, including Power BI, Cognos, SAP, Alteryx, and Salesforce.com.
  • Collect and interpret industry and market information and prepare summary presentations for senior management.
  • Prepare a variety of commercial and financial reports and presentations for management, organizational leadership, and external customers.
  • Proactively search out ways to improve and streamline Global Account processes and procedures.

 

Eligible for telecommuting from home within reasonable commuting distance from Chicago, IL. Will require physical presence at worksite (227 W. Monroe St., Chicago, IL) a minimum of three (3) days a week. Please note the work schedule is subject to change without notice. Travel Required: 5% -1-2 times per year for occasional plant visits, conferences and training.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree required in Business, Finance, Accounting, Mathematics, Statistics, or related field. Requires two (2) years of experience as Global Accounts Analyst, Cost Analyst, Financial Representative, Financial Advisor or related occupation.

Experience must include two (2) years of post-bachelor's experience in all of the following:

  • Previous work experience in a corporate financial reporting or business analysis role collaborating with individuals from all business disciplines (Supply Chain, Sales, Operations, IT, etc.) and at all business levels (local, regional, corporate). This includes outside technical consultants when appropriate.
  • Previous Sales Channel or similar Commercial support work experience.
  • SAP or AS400 or similar ERP system.
  • Content, structure and business experience manipulating data from various sources such as ERP Systems, or similar sources, to create data models and dashboards in Power BI.
  • Work with data from all business disciplines (Materials, Commercial, Vendors, etc) at all business levels (local, regional, corporate). 6. Microsoft Power BI software experience or similar analytics software.

 

SALARY: $72,779.00 - $75,000.00/year
