Join our vibrant team at Ryerson as a Learning Coordinator in our Corporate Human Resources department. Reporting to the Director of Talent Management, you will use your outstanding administrative, organizational, and prioritization skills to coordinate, manage, and support our registered apprenticeship programs and learning management system.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Create custom reports for organizational leadership and stakeholders, and maintain accurate LMS records
  • Set up certification and compliance training process, manage user progress, and issue certifications
  • Creating badges and gamification, creating rules for awarding certifications, designing the process, and issuing the badges and certificates
  • Maintaining system documentation, user manuals, processes, configurations, course structures, job aids, and security
  • Provide Tier I and Tier II support to end users
  • Work with states and appropriate governmental agencies to gain and maintain approval for desired apprenticeship programs at identified Ryerson locations
  • Manage all recordkeeping of the Company’s apprenticeship programs
  • Develop, manage, update, and distribute Ryerson apprenticeship-related training materials, collect and maintain on-the-job training hours, and related documentation
  • Deliver training material to stakeholders on the apprenticeship programs available

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required 
  • Minimum of two years’ experience supporting a department, preferably in a large organization
  • Must possess a general understanding of HR policies, procedures and practices, and employment-related compliance (EEO, ADA, etc.).
  • High level of proficiency in Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
  • Solid time management and organizational skills, coupled with the ability to handle multiple priorities simultaneously
  • Professionalism in dealing with sensitive and confidential information
  • Ability to work independently as well as in a team setting
  • Must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to project confidence and comfort when dealing with individuals at all levels of the organization
