As a Shipping & Receiving Associate at Ryerson, you will be responsible for preparing and keeping records of goods received, matching shipments to their associated purchase orders, and receive them into SAP.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Customer and Vendor claims
- Lead on Block stock and Quarantine material clean-up and disposition
- Record and reject damaged items
- Review and consolidate offsite inventory reports
- Direct delivery drivers to the correct unloading location
- Receive and sign for deliveries
- All other duties as assigned or duties, responsibilities, and activities may change at any time with or without notice
Requirements
- High School diploma or GED required
- 1 -3 years of previous general office experience required
- High attention to detail while working within a team environment
- Previous experience in processing shipping and delivery information a plus
- MS Office Suite (MS Word, Excel, Outlook) preferred
- Excellent communication skills, both oral and written
- Ability to exercise appropriate discretion and good judgement in completing job duties
- Ability to establish and maintain an effective working relationship with co-workers
Shift Time: 6:30am - 3:00pm Monday through Friday
