The Sr. Benefits Analyst supports the administration and continuous improvement of the organization’s U.S. benefit programs, including health, retirement, and leave of absence offerings. This role ensures compliance with applicable regulations while delivering accurate, timely support to employees and internal stakeholders. Working cross-functionally with HR, payroll, and external vendors, the Senior Benefits Analyst manages day-to-day plan operations, leads key initiatives such as open enrollment, and develops reporting and analytics to evaluate program effectiveness and drive informed decision-making.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Manages the administration of the company’s US benefit plans and programs in accordance with applicable plan documents and in compliance with federal, state, and local regulations
  • Provides input into the design of new programs and develops associated policies and procedures
  • Acts as project manager for Open Enrollment, including coordination with vendors, developing written communications, and scheduling employee information sessions
  • Responds to day-to-day employee inquiries accurately using strong customer service and problem-solving skills
  • Manages administrative processes related to 401k and pension plans
  • Manages leaves process in partnership with TPA and works closely with payroll on submission of STD payments
  • Prepares data/reports for plan audits, non-discrimination testing, and 5500 submissions
  • Establishes and maintains effective relationships with benefit plan carriers and vendors to ensure performance is maintained or exceeded
  • Coordinates communication of benefit information to human resources, managers, and employees

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in Human Resources or Business Management
  • 3 plus years of benefits administration experience
  • Working knowledge of federal laws and regulations regarding benefits and other Human Resources regulations a plus
  • Excellent Microsoft Office and internet skills required; experience with HRIS technology platforms (SAP preferred)
  • ADP HWSE knowledge a plus
  • Requires strong mathematical, analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills; must be highly detail-oriented
  • Strong written and verbal skills are essential; must possess the ability to communicate information clearly and concisely
  • Must have excellent customer service and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to maintain the highest degree of confidentiality in all matters related to employee compensation and benefits

 

Salary: $77,638 - $116,457 annually plus bonus. A starting salary higher than $77,638 annually is based on a level of experience and education that significantly exceeds the minimum requirements and is commensurate with the compensation scale.
