As an Accountant at Ryerson, you will be heavily involved in the monthly close process, including journal entries and account reconciliations.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Responsible for the oversight of the financial results of assigned plants
• Assist plant management in understanding monthly financial results
• Assist plant in researching and resolving financial issues
• Assist in internal management reporting and analysis
• Responsible for assigned incentive accounting areas
• Assist with external reporting including preparation of SEC footnote disclosures
• Work on other special projects, as assigned

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
• CPA preferred
• 1-3 years of monthly financial close experience
• Strong Microsoft Excel skills
• Knowledge of SAP a plus
