As a 2nd shift Operations Supervisor at Laserflex, a Ryerson Family of Companies, you will be responsible for directing the efficient function of shop operations including but not limited to day to day scheduling and shop floor supervision, assistance with technical questions or issues, and processing of customer RFQs and PO’s. 

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Understand production goals and implement actions necessary to meet objectives
  • Carry out and support company policies, goals and objectives
  • Understand customer requirements and advise on decisions regarding suitability of material and processing equipment
  • Provide direction and coaching in safe work practices; support safety goals
  • Coordinate work through the shop floor.
  • Help resolve open technical issues with current shop floor jobs, assist and back up QC as needed
  • Understand and communicate KPI’s and drive positive trends
  • Monitor efficiencies and work with management to eliminate bottlenecks

Requirements

  • 3-5 years of previous manufacturing experience.  
  • Very strong technical experience in metal fabrication.
  • High School Diploma / GED is required; College Education preferred
  • A minimum of one (1) to three (3) years supervisory experience
  • Proficient in MS Outlook, Word, and Excel
  • Good verbal, written, and interpersonal skills
