As a Senior ABAP Developer II at Ryerson, you will be responsible for developing technical specs and programming code to fix production issues and implement new functional features and interfaces for our SAP ECC 6.0 on HANA system.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Develop technical specs and programming code to fix production issues and implement new functional features and interfaces for our SAP ECC 6.0 on HANA system
• Design, develop, and implement SAP ABAP programs, reports, interfaces, conversions, enhancements, and forms (RICEF) to meet business requirements
• Analyze business processes and requirements to translate them into efficient technical solutions within the SAP landscape
• Perform debugging, troubleshooting, and performance optimization of existing ABAP programs
• Collaborate with functional consultants and business users to understand their needs and provide technical expertise
• Develop and maintain technical documentation for all custom-developed objects and enhancements
• Participate in the full software development lifecycle, including requirements gathering, design, coding, testing, deployment, and support
• Provide support for SAP system upgrades, enhancements, and maintenance activities

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree required
• 7+ years of ABAP programming experience
• Familiarity with all phases of the Software Development Lifecycle
• Experience with any of the following would be considered a plus: SAP Variant Configuration, OData Services, Fiori and SAPUI5, JavaScript and HTML5
• Proficient in Microsoft Office
• Need to be a quick learner and self-starter
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
• Detail-oriented with an analytical aptitude

Salary: $86,500 - $129,000 annually. A starting salary higher than $86,500 annually is based on a level of experience and education that significantly exceeds the minimum requirements and is commensurate with the compensation scale.
