As a Manufacturing Process Engineer, you will design, optimize, and streamline complex systems involving people, machines, materials, and information to maximize productivity and minimize waste. Core duties include analyzing workflows, conducting time studies, and designing facility layouts. Your expertise will be instrumental in supporting and executing initiatives that enhance cost control, boost productivity, and ensure safety. This is a remote position; however, we strongly prefer candidates who reside near one of our locations and can attend on-site meetings, plant visits, and collaborative sessions as needed.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Analyze existing workflows, production schedules, and processes to find inefficiencies
- Work with the Project Manager, contractors, local operations staff, and/or suppliers on new equipment supply, installation & upgrades, as well as improvements on older equipment
- Design efficient floor plans and facility layouts using CAD or simulation software
- Conduct time and motion studies to establish accurate labor standards
- Implement Lean manufacturing and continuous improvement (Six Sigma) initiatives to reduce waste
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams and management to present data-driven recommendations
- Evaluate equipment performance and collaborate with maintenance teams to improve machine reliability and reduce downtime

Requirements
- Bachelor of Science in Industrial Engineering or a related engineering discipline
- 3+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment, including building design, plant layout development, workflow optimization, and operational support
- Proficiency in tools like AutoCAD, Microsoft Office, and process simulation software
- Strong knowledge of Lean Six Sigma methodologies
- Excellent problem-solving, data analysis, and communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously
- Strong organizational and project management skills
- Ability to travel is a must; approximately 50% travel is expected
Salary: $116,931 - $175,397 annually plus bonus. A starting salary higher than $116,931 annually is based on a level of experience and education that significantly exceeds the minimum requirements and is commensurate with the compensation scale.
