As an Operations Coordinator at Ryerson, you will be responsible for performing a variety of resource management duties and strategic and tactical planning tasks to ensure the organization and field is prepared for improvement events, including projects and strategic operational tasks.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Manage and track projects, plan company events, and adjust their team's workflow to be more efficient while ensuring events stay on track/task
- Prepare necessary reporting by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing data trends
- Works with the Operations Manager to ensure continuous process improvement projects are implemented
- Facilitating cross-channel feedback from internal customers at the field to management and then from management to field
- Working with Team leaders, managers, and department delegates who are directly affected by project or process improvement initiatives (RPS and Projects)
- Maintaining and updating clear operational guides to ensure consistency of operations or standard operating procedures (Best Practices and Playbook)
- Identifying and resolving any problems in the production process
- Collaborating with management and executives to set departmental and organizational goals—using an in-and-down method of pushing goals
- Additional tasks identified to increase operational efficiencies and support the Living Case metrics

Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree preferred
- Some experience working in a warehouse or manufacturing industries
- Proficiency within Microsoft applications (Outlook, Excel, Word) required
- Excellent professional written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills required
- Ability to multi-task and prioritize in a rapidly changing environment
- Demonstrated problem-solving and decision-making skills
- Positive attitude, competitive, goal-oriented, driven with a passion to excel
- High degree of business ethics
$55,311 - $82,967 annually. A starting salary higher than $55,311 annually is based on a level of experience and education that significantly exceeds the minimum requirements and is commensurate with the compensation scale.
