As a Solutions Advisor at Ryerson, you will be responsible for Ryerson processing customer orders, making sales calls, and working to establish relationships with customers.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Identify and pursue new sales opportunities in the metal fabrication industry, including structural steel, sheet metal, custom parts, and assemblies
  • Build and maintain relationships with current and prospective clients across multiple industries (e.g. construction, manufacturing, automotive, aerospace)
  • Understand customer specifications and technical drawings to provide accurate quotes and timelines
  • Collaborate with enginnering and production teams to devlop feasible solutions based on customer requirements
  • Prepare and deliver sales presentations, proposals, and bids
  • Meet or exceed sales targets and goals set by management
  • Track all sales activity using CRM software and report progress regularly
  • Stay up to date with industry trends, materials, manufacturing capabilities, and competitor activities 

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • Proven experience in industrial or manufacturing sales; metal fabrication experience preferred
  • Strong understanding of fabrication process such as welding, cutting, forming, machining, and assembly
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills
  • Proficiency with CRM systems and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Valid driver's license and willingness to travel to client sites
