The Contract Accounts analyst is responsible for the preparation of reporting packages that are distributed to management, the Contract Accounts team, and throughout the entire organization. Reports include graphical and numerical presentations accompanied by analysis that provides insight into the Contract Accounts financial results, commercial performance, and drivers. The Contract Accounts Analyst will be a key contributor to the commercial quotation process and proposal strategy. In addition, there will be ad hoc projects that could include analyzing new business opportunities, market conditions, and various deep dive analyses into specific inventory, commercial, and customer items to assist management in the decision-making process.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Provide business and financial analysis, including the preparation of daily, weekly, monthly, and quarterly reporting packages that are distributed to different stakeholders
- A focus of the reporting compares actual results versus plan, forecast and prior periods and includes an analysis of the key components of the business
- Identify, analyze, and report on key performance drivers and metrics
- Ad hoc support and analysis for the Contracts Accounts team
- Integral contributor to the customer quotation process, including the preparation of complex cost builds and profitability analysis before and after business implementation
- Provide working capital analysis; A/R and inventory data preparation and analysis
- Work through a variety of systems to collect relevant data, including Power BI, Cognos, SAP, and Salesforce.com
- Collect and interpret industry and market information and prepare summary presentations for senior management
- Prepare a variety of commercial and financial reports and presentations for management, organizational leadership, and external customers
- Proactively search out ways to improve and streamline Contracts Account processes and procedures

Requirements
- Bachelor's degree required, BS degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, Mathematics, Statistics, or related field preferred
- 2-5 years' experience in a corporate financial reporting or business analysis role is preferred
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, with emphasis on Excel
- Experience with Microsoft Power BI is preferred or similar analytics software
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills used for the collection and communication of information with all levels of employees in an organization
- Excellent organization skills with a high degree of effectiveness in balancing multiple priorities
- Detail oriented, inquisitive, able to perform detailed and summary analysis
- Some Sales Channel and/or Commercial support/reporting experience preferred
- SAP, or other operating system experience preferred
- Metal industry or metals service center experience preferred
Salary: $50,099.69-$75,149.53 annually. A starting salary higher than $50,099.69 annually is based on a level of experience and education that significantly exceeds the minimum requirements and is commensurate with the compensation scale.
